Night Owl

A Great Grey Owl in Yellowstone NP. This was a drive by. Heading out of the Lamar Valley after dusk we found this owl standing at the side of the road. As we drove closer he took off and landed on a tree stump some 50 feet away. I again drove closer but this time he stayed put. Got about 15 minutes shooting time when a driver behind me got out of his car to get a close-up. He did not get it. The owl flew off.
