Wildlife and Nature Photography by Larry Gambon

Moose Silhouette

Taken in in the eastern part of the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park at dusk. The Moose is a male who had lost his antlers (new buds could be seen with a 300mm lens). He was in the Lamar River when some "photographers" came by and spooked him. The Moose then ran up a hill and over the ridge line. You can not tell from the photograph but this guy was huge...at least 9 feet at the shoulder.
