Great Horned Owl

A very majestic raptor. They are native to my neck of the woods and are rarely seen in daylight, though I have seen them, usually around dusk on the edge of a wetland near my home. They're huge (as far as owls go) and are nearly silent when flying. An apex predator for sure!
