Elk Herd

Here's a sight you don't see everyday. The male (with the antlers) is a fairly young elk. He's hanging with approximately 14 females. Did not see any big, majestic bulls anywhere near this group. Thought for sure some big boy would come up and stomp his butt any minute. He seemed so proud of himself. Photographed about a half mile east of Mammoth Hot Springs.
