Common Loon
I have spent years trying to get a shot of a loon. This loon (and its mate) are the only ones I have ever photographed ... and I had to travel all the way to Oregon to get it. There are plenty here in the northeast except when I am around. They know I am there with a camera and they all fly to the other side of the lake ... or hide. They laugh at me. I just know it.
