Black Bear on Bison Kill

Black bear on a bison in Yellowstone NP in Spring. This is nature. This is the real deal. The bison was a winter kill and was probably uncovered by the melting snows. This is also one of the largest black bears I have ever seen in my life. I've seen a couple of 600 pounders before and they were tiny compared to this brute. Right after this shot he looked up and started giving me the old stink eye. I left, slowly, without turning my back on him...and he was across the Yellowstone River!
