Momma Bear
There was a male bear prowling around this mother and her cub and he was intent on killing the cub. A female bear will not go in to heat as long as she is caring for her young so it is common for boars (male bears) to actually prey on the cub. Makes for a couple of stressfull cub-rearing years.
